Welcome to the Daniel Newcomb Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR).

The Daniel Newcomb Chapter NSDAR, chartered December 3, 1915, is one of the ten chapters in South Dakota.

Young and old, rich and poor, active and retired, our members, all direct descendants of American Revolutionary War patriots, are bound together with pride in our inheritance and our love of country. We are a group of women with varied backgrounds and talents. We come with professional experience in many fields.

We meet at least six times a year, usually over lunch with a meeting and program to follow. While promoting patriots, good citizenship, American History studies in the schools, supporting the military, and American Indian projects, we also are concerned with issues adressing women's issues and children's needs. We are inspired by the deeds and dreams of our forefathers. There is something for everyone! We all share a great heritage.

Our chapter members are devoted to our local communities; sharing common values and uniting in recognizing our young leaders of tomorrow as well as remembering those who served this country in the past, our military heroes.
